The Reverend Dr. Greg Gray is originally from Monroe, GA, where he grew up in the church. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 2008 with an AB in Speech Communication and in 2011 with an AB in Music (Voice), and graduated with a Master of Divinity at Candler School of Theology in May 2014. He completed a Master of Sacred Theology at Boston University School of Theology in May 2015, and a Doctor of Ministry also from Boston University School of Theology in May 2018 focusing on the worship practices of the church and how we can make them inclusive of all people through our diverse expressions of liturgy and music.

Emily McKenna

Emily McKenna

Church Administrator/ Director of Faith Formation

Emily has served as Youth Ministry Coordinator for Oasis Multi-Church Youth Group, made up of many New Haven, CT area churches. She is a long-time volunteer at Silver Lake Camp & Retreat Center, and will extend her reach volunteering this summer in New Hampshire at Horton Center! Emily currently serves as a board member for the United Church of Christ’s Media Justice Board, a team of leaders focused on communications rights for all people. Emily spends her free time exploring nature and creating artwork. Emily loves living in the West End of Hartford with her partner Casey and their four year old son, Peter Parker.

David Kidwell

David Kidwell

Principal Accompanist

PRONOUNS: HE/HIM/HIS

David Kidwell brings over 40 years of church music experience to Enfield UCC. He is also conductor of the Holyoke Civic Symphony, visiting lecturer in music at Mount Holyoke College, a keyboardist at the Goodspeed Opera House, and a music theatre accompanist at The Hartt School. David holds a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Mary Washington and a master’s degree in composition from The Hartt School. Several books of his original compositions for organ have been published by Lorenz. David lives in Holyoke, MA with his fiancée Mary Annarella, a singer, microbiology instructor, and knitwear designer.

Daniel is an Enfield native who comes to Enfield UCC with over 4 years of broadcasting experience. He graduated from Enfield High School in 2020 and brings a wealth of experience with him from his career.

Mary McDonald

Mary McDonald

Nursery Attendant

PRONOUNS: SHE/HER/HERS

Mary McDonald is a very caring and positive person. She always has a smile on her face, easy to talk to, and easy to get to know. Working with kids has always been a passion of hers, this is why she is so excited to work in the nursery. She believes that kids are so fun, and it is always enjoyable watching them learn and grow. Her favorite thing about working in the education field for more than 8 years is the “lightbulb moment” when a child finally understands or completes a task they have been working on. Mary is very excited to start working with you and your child.
